Flagg Makes History, Jokic Steals the Spotlight
NBA Recap: December 15, 2025
In Salt Lake City, Cooper Flagg dropped a career-high 42 points, becoming the youngest player in NBA history to crack 40, but the Mavericks still fell in overtime to the Jazz, 140–133. Utah leaned on Keyonte George’s 37 and Lauri Markkanen’s 33, proving that balance beats brilliance when the margins tighten.
Meanwhile in Denver, Nikola Jokic authored his 12th triple-double of the season—39 points, 15 boards, 10 assists—as the Nuggets edged the Rockets 128–125 in OT. It was a reminder that Jokic doesn’t just bend games; he breaks them. Elsewhere, the Pistons stormed back to beat Boston 112–105 behind Cade Cunningham’s 32, while Toronto’s 106–96 win in Miami was powered by Brandon Ingram’s 28. The night closed in Los Angeles, where the Grizzlies handled the Clippers 121–103. Jaren Jackson Jr. led with 31, while Ja Morant punctuated the fourth with a dagger three.
Fast Break Recap: Day 2
It was another successful day across the three tiers as each saw the majority walk away happy, but Pro was the lowest of the trio as only 53% earned a win. In Historic, 92% of collectors were winners whereas Classic saw virtually everyone earn a win (98%). Joker was the fifth highest utilized player and he delivered by shooting 13 of 27 from the field in an overtime win against the Rockets. With his performance, he earned the Fast Break Stud of the Day. Jaylen Brown was stellar also as he also made 13 shots from the field. Kawhi had the lowest output of the top five as he made nine shots, but that was still a strong day, so there were no Duds on Day 2.
