NBA Fast Break Classic | Run 5 | Day 2
Curry Makes History, Lakers Edge, Nets Stun
NBA Recap: December 14, 2025
Steph Curry lit up Portland with 48 points and 12 made three-pointers, passing Michael Jordan for the most 40-point games after turning 30 (45 total). It was a vintage Curry performance—lookaway threes, deep daggers, and a rhythm that felt unstoppable. Yet despite his brilliance, Golden State fell 136–131 as the Trail Blazers snapped a three-game skid behind Shaedon Sharpe and Jerami Grant’s 35 apiece, plus Deni Avdija’s 26-point, 8-assist, 7-rebound line.
Elsewhere, the Lakers edged the Suns 116–114 with LeBron James steadying the finish, while the Nets stunned Milwaukee 127–82 in one of the season’s most lopsided results. The Pelicans handled Chicago 114–104, the Timberwolves beat Sacramento 117–103, Atlanta outlasted Philadelphia 120–117, Washington topped Indiana 108–89, and Charlotte surprised Cleveland 119–111.
Fast Break Recap: Day 1
It was a relatively successful start to Run 5 as all three tiers of Fast Break had a majority sitting in the undefeated column as Classic saw 73%, Pro saw 60%, and Historic saw 87% of collectors earn a win. Deandre Ayton and Mark Williams were projected to deliver in both points in the paint and offensive rebounds and both had at least 16 points and 3 offensive rebounds (with slight variances in each category). Depending if you used either as your captain, they contributed meaningfully. With that said, either could be your Fast Break Stud of the Day.
