NBA Fast Break Classic | Run 4 | Day 11
Thunder Dominate, Spurs Surprise
NBA Recap: December 10, 2025
The two NBA Cup quarterfinal games yesterday quarterfinals delivered emphatic statements from both Western Conference semifinal representatives. In Oklahoma City, the Thunder obliterated the Suns 138–89, unleashing a relentless offensive barrage and suffocating defense. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander orchestrated the attack with precision and scored 28 points in only 27 minutes, while Chet Holmgren anchored the paint. Phoenix were missing Booker and never found their rhythm, undone by turnovers and cold shooting, as OKC advanced to Las Vegas with authority. This win marked a franchise record 16th straight win for OKC and they have their sights set on the NBA Cup, Golden State’s win record, and a back-to-back NBA title.
The night cap in Los Angeles was a surprise as the Spurs toppled the Lakers 132–119, riding Stephon Castle’s 30-point performance in just his second game back from injury. Castle poured in 21 after halftime, while De’Aaron Fox and five others scored in double digits to keep San Antonio comfortably ahead. Luka Dončić’s 35 points and LeBron James’ 19-point, 15-rebound effort weren’t enough to overcome the Spurs’ depth, as San Antonio’s bench outscored L.A.’s reserves 48–31. The Lakers trimmed the deficit late but never closed the gap in a meaningful way, surrendering their Cup hopes to a surging Spurs squad who found ways to win without Wemby, who is on the verge of returning.
Fast Break Recap: Day 10
Classic, Pro, and Historic had another day of positive win rates as 83%, 57%, and 75% (respectively) walked away happy, albeit at a lower percentage in each tier compared to yesterday.
Mark Williams was the second most utilized player yesterday and the blowout against Oklahoma City meant a lower than expected time on the floor, which resulted in a measly five rebounds. His poor performance earned him the Fast Break Dud of the Day.
On the other hand, the other four most utilized players yesterday contributed eight rebounds apiece. If you had any of them as your captain, that player would arguably be your Fast Break Stud of the Day.
