NBA Fast Break Classic | Run 4 | Day 10

Brunson Blazes, Magic Advance

NBA Recap: December 9, 2025

The two NBA Cup quarterfinal games yesterday NBA Cup delivered decisive performances and clear semifinal storylines. In Orlando, the Magic outlasted the Heat 117–108, riding a dominant second quarter to seize control. Desmond Bane and Jalen Suggs powered the offense, while Miami’s late push fell short despite six Heat players in double figures including Norman Powell and Tyler Herro. The win sends Orlando into the semifinals in Las Vegas, marking another step forward for their young core.

Up in Toronto, the Knicks rolled past the Raptors 117–101, fueled by Jalen Brunson’s 35-point explosion and Josh Hart’s relentless energy. Karl-Anthony Towns returned to the lineup with 14 points and 16 rebounds, anchoring New York’s interior presence. Brandon Ingram’s 31 points kept Toronto competitive early, but a disastrous second quarter where they only scored 13 points doomed the Raptors, who dropped their fourth straight. The Knicks, long frustrated in NBA Cup play, finally broke through to the semifinals, where they’ll face Orlando in a marquee East clash. The winner will face Phoenix, Oklahoma City, San Antonio, or the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Cup Finals.

Fast Break Recap: Day 9

Classic, Pro, and Historic delivered positive win rates yesterday as 96%, 64%, and 80% (respectively) walked away happy.

Jalen Brunson was the second most utilized player and delivered a big performance to help New York advance to the NBA Cup semifinals. His 35 points (53 if he was your captain) led all scorers out of the top five and earned the Fast Break Stud of the Day award.

Scottie Barnes, on the other hand, could only score 13 points on 33% shooting, which hurt collectors’ opportunity to win a daily reward, but not enough to sink an entire lineup. With his poor day, he earned the Fast Break Dud of the Day.
