NBA Fast Break Classic | Run 4 | Day 9

Spurs Survive, Suns Steal, Pacers Hold Firm

NBA Recap: December 8, 2025

In New Orleans, the Spurs edged the Pelicans 135–132, surviving a furious third-quarter rally from the hosts. The Spurs had seven players in double digits while Derik Queen’s triple double (33/10/10) kept the Pelicans within striking distance. San Antonio’s balanced attack proved decisive in their three point win, pushing them to 16–7 on the season.

Up in Minneapolis, the Suns stunned the Timberwolves 108–105, overcoming Anthony Edwards’ 40-point explosion and snapping Minnesota’s win streak. Phoenix leaned on Mark Williams’ 22 points and timely defense in the closing minutes, flipping momentum in a game Minnesota had largely controlled. The win marked a statement road victory for the Suns as they were without their best player, Devin Booker.

In Indianapolis, the Pacers outlasted the Kings 116–105, riding Andrew Nembhard’s 28 points and a steady fourth quarter to secure the win. Sacramento’s Russell Westbrook poured in 24, but Indiana’s composure and depth carried them through.

Fast Break Recap: Day 8

Classic and Historic had another plus win rate (93% & 93% respectively), but Pro continued to struggle as it only had 28% earn a win.

72% trusted Anthony Edwards with the required objective of field goals made & attempts and he came through after struggling his previous two games. His 40 points on 15 of 21 shooting was solid on its own, but 1.5x more if he was your captain. With his performance, he earned the Fast Break Stud of the Day award.

De’Aaron Fox, on the other hand, only scored 14 points and shot 4 of 11 from the field. With his lackluster performance, he earned the Fast Break Dud of the Day award.

Today’s Fast Break Objective(s): Day 9 of 13

Objective(s): 80 Points Scored (16.0 PTS)

You’ll need five (5) players who will score 80 or more points, which means each player will need to average 16.0 PTS. This is a straightforward objective, but there are only four teams in action today, so your player options are limited. Depending on which players you have left, this could be an easy day considering the low threshold. Keep in mind the two teams who lose today will only have one game remaining after today.

Top Player Options:

  • Point Scorers: Jalen Brunson, Tyler Herro, Karl-Anthony Towns

  • Top Five (5) Players in Classic Lineups: B. Ingram (75%) | J. Brunson (70%) | N. Powell (60%) | P. Banchero (47%) | K. Towns (42%)

Upcoming Fast Break Objectives:

  • Objectives remaining (after today): REB, 3PM, 3PA, AST, FGM, FGA

  • Tomorrow’s Objective(s): 30 Rebounds (6.0 REB)

Considerations:

  • Every team eliminated from the NBA Cup has one (1) game remaining

  • The four teams playing on Day 13 will depend on the results of the NBA Cup games on December 9 & 10

  • The four teams who lose on December 9 & 10 will have no games remaining this run

  • Day 11’s eight teams are playing their last game on that day

  • Day 12 has the most teams in action (14)

  • Every other day has 8 or less teams in action
