NBA Fast Break Classic | Run 4 | Day 2
Suns Stifle Lakers, Jazz Shock Rockets, Wizards Topple Bucks
NBA Recap: December 1, 2025
Phoenix halted the Lakers’ surge with a 125–108 win at Crypto.com Arena, forcing 22 turnovers and building a 21-point cushion despite Devin Booker’s early exit. Luka Doncic battled with 38, but Phoenix’s balance—capped by Collin Gillespie’s fourth-quarter barrage—closed the door. Dallas stunned Denver 131–121 behind a relentless road attack, while Utah outlasted Houston 133–125 with late shotmaking. Brooklyn handled Charlotte 116–103, and Miami blitzed the Clippers 140–123, overwhelming them with pace and efficiency. Orlando edged Chicago 125–120, and Washington rallied to nip Milwaukee 129–126.
Cleveland rolled past Indiana 135–119, flexing offensive depth (led by Donovan Mitchell) to keep momentum intact even though they were missing Garland, Allen, Merrill, and Ball. Detroit eked out a 99–98 win over Atlanta, surviving a tense finish to extend their composure in close games. Across the slate, road teams matched the moment, flipping home-court comforts into late-game pressure—Denver, L.A., and Milwaukee all felt it as margins shrank to possessions.
The night captured the NBA’s current identity: stars can tilt a box score, but depth and discipline decide outcomes — especially with the volume of injuries we’ve seen this season.
Fast Break Recap: Day 1
Day 1 delivered a mix of results across the three iterations of Fast Break as 87% earned a win in Classic, 76% in Pro, and (surprisingly) only 57% in Historic.
In Classic, Donovan Mitchell stole the show with his 43 points scored, which helped the 72% of lineups who included him on their roster. He is also the second Cavalier ever to average 30+ points in their first 20 games of the season and with his performance, he earned the Fast Break Stud of the Day award.
On the other hand, Devin Booker’s Suns took down the Lakers in a statement win, but it wasn’t due to Book’s scoring as he only chipped in 11 points. Out of the top five most utilized players, he fell the shortest in the scoring department, which means he earned the Fast Break Dud of the Day award.
Today’s Fast Break Objective(s): Day 2 of 13
Objective(s): 35 Assists (7.0 AST)
You’ll need five (5) players who will accumulate 35 or more assists, which means each player will need to average 7.0 AST. Single objective, but a potentially elusive one if you pick the wrong captain. With only six games on today’s slate, the usual suspects of high volume distributors aren’t in action, so anticipate some volatility in the results.

Upcoming Fast Break Objectives:
Objectives remaining (after today):
2x: REB, 3PM, 3PA, FGM, FGA, AST
1x: BLK, AST-TO, PITP, OREB, STL, PTS
Tomorrow’s Objective(s): 4 Blocks & 45 Rebounds (0.8 BLK & 9.0 REB)
Considerations:
Fourteen (14) teams have the least number of games remaining (4)
LA Lakers, Miami, New York, Orlando, San Antonio, & Toronto could have an extra game if they win their first NBA Cup matchup
The dreaded AST-TO lands on Day 4
The four teams playing on Day 13 will depend on the results of Day 9’s NBA Cup results
The only day this run with more than 20 teams in action is Day 5
Day 8-11 & 13 have less than 8 or less teams in action, so your player options are more limited
Statistical Approach:
Top players in assists according to Rotowire & NBA.com, which is available in the table(s) below. Overall rank is based on daily projections, last 10 average, and season averages, which is stack ranked amongst peers for each objective. When there is a single objective, the three data points are still used to stack rank the players vs. ranking solely on projections. For tome+ members, all active player stats are available in the provided data file. Omission of certain players would be based on injuries at the time of data pull.

Witty’s Fast Break Challenge:
In NBA Fast Break, how often you can use a player depends on the value of their moments—measured by average sale price. That system can put newer and/or smaller collectors at a disadvantage, limiting their ability to compete. This segment is designed to level the playing field, giving resourceful collectors a shot at rewards and proving that smart strategy can still win, even without a stacked collection.
