NBA Fast Break Classic | Run 3 | Day 11

Sheppard Shines, Thunder Surge, Heat Edge Bucks

NBA Recap: November 26, 2025

Today is the last day of the group stage of the NBA Cup, which was set up by the results from two nights ago. The Rockets trailed early, but rallied past the Warriors 104-100 behind Reed Sheppard’s career-high 31 points, while the Suns handled the Kings 112-110 in Sacramento. San Antonio spoiled Portland’s night with a 115-102 win over the Blazers, and the Grizzlies outlasted New Orleans in overtime, 133-128, in one of the evening’s wildest finishes.

In the other games, the Heat edged the Bucks 106–103 at home, Toronto squeaked past Indiana 97–95, and Boston held off Detroit 117–114. The Knicks rolled Charlotte 129–101, while Oklahoma City continued its surge with a 113–105 win over Minnesota. With home teams losing more than not, the night underscored the unpredictability of the Cup—momentum swings, clutch shots, and road warriors defining the narrative.

The In-Season Tournament group stage is coming to a close and tickets to the knock-out round will be determined today as six spots remain with twelve teams in the running.

NBA Cup:

Toronto & the Lakers have punched their ticket to the knockout round and 12 teams still have a mathematical chance of winning their group or securing one of the two wild card spots.

Orlando heads to Detroit and the winner takes East Group B. Oklahoma City hosts Phoenix and the winner takes West Group A. San Antonio heads to Denver and the winner takes West Group C. The Heat or Knicks will win East Group C (Knicks own the tie-breaker), but they do not play each other today.

While they’re fighting for the groups, Cleveland, Milwaukee, Memphis, and the Clippers are also fighting for one of the wild card spots alongside the teams who don’t win their groups.

  • Advanced (8 spots): Toronto, LA Lakers

  • Still in the Running: CLE, ORL, DET, MIA, NYK, MIL, OKC, PHX, MEM, LAC, DEN, SAS

NBA Fast Break Recap: Day 10

Fast Break Day 10 was expectedly brutal as it was the assists minus turnovers day in both classic and historic modes, but with different results. In classic, a meager 7% earned a win compared to 95% in historic modes thanks to different thresholds (20 for classic, 10 for historic). Pro mode also had a tough go as only 25% earned a win.

Davion Mitchell was the second most utilized player and delivered 6.0 AST-TO, so he earned the Fast Break Stud of the Day. On the other end of the spectrum, Jalen Brunson and LaMelo Ball had as many assists as turnovers whereas Cade Cunningham only had one more assist to turnover. Take your pick, especially if any of them were your captain. Whoever let you down the most is the Fast Break Dud of the Day.

Today’s Fast Break Objective(s): Day 11 of 13

Objective(s): 140 Points Scored (28.0 PTS)

You’ll need five (5) players who will accumulate 140 or more points scored, which means each player will need to average 28.0 PTS. The objective is straightforward, but lofty. Your captain will play a vital role in your success, but a single player could easily derail your day if they don’t score at least 20 points. Long story short, expect another tough one.

Top Player Options:

  • Scorers: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic, Cade Cunningham, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Tyrese Maxey, James Harden, Jalen Brunson, Donovan Mitchell

  • Top Five (5) Players in Classic Lineups: J. Brunson (58%) | P. Siakam (43%) | J. Murray (35%) | S. Gilgeous-Alexander (31%) | N. Jokic (29%)

Upcoming Fast Break Objectives:

  • Objectives remaining (after today): REB, BLK, 3PM, 3PA

  • Tomorrow’s Objective(s): 45 Rebounds & 4 Blocks (9.0 REB & 0.8 BLK)

Considerations:

  • Six (6) teams have one (1) game remaining

  • Twenty-four (24) teams have two (2) games remaining

  • Today is Orlando & Washington’s last game this series

Statistical Approach:

Top players in points scored according to Rotowire & NBA.com, which is available in the table(s) below. Overall rank is based on daily projections, last 10 average, and season averages, which is stack ranked amongst peers for each objective. When there is a single objective, the three data points are still used to stack rank the players vs. ranking solely on projections. For tome+ members, all active player stats are available in the provided data file. Omission of certain players would be based on injuries at the time of data pull.

Witty’s Fast Break Challenge:

In NBA Fast Break, how often you can use a player depends on the value of their moments—measured by average sale price. That system can put newer and/or smaller collectors at a disadvantage, limiting their ability to compete. This segment is designed to level the playing field, giving resourceful collectors a shot at rewards and proving that smart strategy can still win, even without a stacked collection.
