NBA Fast Break Classic | Run 3 | Day 7

Harden’s Historic Night, Kings Stun Nuggets, Pistons Win Again

NBA Recap: November 22, 2025

The night opened with James Harden who torched the Hornets for a franchise-record 55 points in the Clippers’ 131–116 win. He erupted for 27 in the first quarter alone, drilling 10 threes and tying Kobe Bryant for the third-most 50-point games in NBA history. Ivica Zubac chipped in 18 points and nine rebounds, while rookie Kon Knueppel led Charlotte with 26 in a losing effort. The victory snapped L.A.’s three-game skid and offered a rare spark in a turbulent stretch without Kawhi Leonard.

Orlando showcased some offensive fireworks as the Magic outpaced the Knicks 133–121, Franz Wagner’s 37-point masterpiece anchoring the win. In Milwaukee, the East leading Pistons continued to roll as they downed the Bucks 129–116, flexing their depth and balance to sit atop the East. Chicago almost lost to the 1-15 Wizards as they needed to come from behind to win against Washington by a score of 121–120; a reminder of how slim the margins can be when momentum shifts late. Meanwhile, Atlanta’s 115–98 victory in New Orleans underscored the Pelicans’ ongoing struggles to find rhythm.

Dallas fell short at home, dropping a 102–96 contest to Memphis, where the Grizzlies’ defense set the tone. Denver, despite holding the edge for much of the night, was stunned by Sacramento 128–123 in Ball Arena, a rare win for a Kings team clawing for relevance. Across the slate, the balance of power tilted toward road teams, with resilience and late-game execution defining the outcomes.

Taken together, these games reflect the NBA’s current state: parity reigns, and no lead feels safe. The Pistons’ rise, the Kings’ defiance, and the Magic’s youthful surge all point to a league where dynasties are harder to sustain, and every night offers a new chapter. In today’s NBA, unpredictability isn’t the exception—it’s the identity.

NBA Fast Break Recap: Day 6

Classic Day 6 was a trainwreck as only 12% earned a win on a day where 6 blocks and 6 steals were needed. As all five of the most utilized players had contributed in meaningful way, none were worthy of the Dud of the Day award — although there were some players who delivered more than the rest. For example, Isaiah Stewart saw the 4th highest utilization, but delivered a five block performance, which covered 83% of the needed blocks. With his performance, he earned the Fast Break Stud of the Day award.

Pro mode had a bit more success as 58% earned a win and Historic had the highest win percentage of the day at 75%. We are down to three (3) collectors with a perfect record, but most care about the run-based and win-based rewards where you’ll need 4, 7, and 11 wins to earn.

Today’s Fast Break Objective(s): Day 7 of 13

Objective(s): 45 Field Goals Made & 55 Field Goal Attempts (9.0 FGM & 11.0 FGA)

You’ll need five (5) players who will make 45.0 or more and take 55.0 or more field goals, which means each player will need to average 9.0 FGM & 11.0 FGA. The former will determine whether you earn a win and the latter will dictate where you rank overall. The thresholds are relatively high and gives little room for error unless you have a stud as your captain. This is the type of day where one bad performance could derail your outcome entirely, so set your lineups with that in mind.

Top Player Options:

  • Shot Takers & Makers: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Tyrese Maxey, Luka Doncic, Jaylen Brown, Donovan Mitchell, Devin Booker, Lauri Markkanen

  • Top Five (5) Players in Classic Lineups: M. Porter Jr. (54%) | L. Doncic (53%) | J. Brown (51%) | S. Gilgeous-Alexander (41%) | T. Maxey (39%)

Upcoming Fast Break Objectives:

  • Objectives remaining (after today): PITP, OREB, AST-TO, AST, 3PM, 3PA, REB, PTS, BLK

  • Tomorrow’s Objective(s): 50 Points in the Paint & 12 Offensive Rebounds (10.0 PITP & 2.4 OREB)

Considerations:

  • Washington has the fewest remaining games (2)

  • Phoenix & Toronto have the most remaining games (5)

  • The always challenging AST-TO objective lands on Day 10

  • Day 9 only has six teams in action, which means the least flexibility

  • Day 8 (tomorrow) & 11 have more than 20 teams in action, which means the most flexibility

  • There are no games scheduled on November 27th

  • There is one less day this run (13) than in the previous (14), but the run-based thresholds are the same (4, 7, & 11)

Statistical Approach:

Top players in field goals made & field goal attempts according to Rotowire & NBA.com, which is available in the table(s) below. Overall rank is based on daily projections, last 10 average, and season averages, which is stack ranked amongst peers for each objective. When there is a single objective, the three data points are still used to stack rank the players vs. ranking solely on projections. For tome+ members, all active player stats are available in the provided data file. Omission of certain players would be based on injuries at the time of data pull.

Witty’s Fast Break Challenge:

In NBA Fast Break, how often you can use a player depends on the value of their moments—measured by average sale price. That system can put newer and/or smaller collectors at a disadvantage, limiting their ability to compete. This segment is designed to level the playing field, giving resourceful collectors a shot at rewards and proving that smart strategy can still win, even without a stacked collection.
