NBA Fast Break Classic | Run 3 | Day 2
Mitchell Cooks, Thunder Roll, Wolves Dominate Mavs
NBA Recap: November 17, 2025
Donovan Mitchell poured in 37 points to lead the Cavaliers past the Bucks 118–106, as Giannis Antetokounmpo exited in the second quarter with a groin injury and did not return. Sam Merrill added 20 points off the bench, including six threes, helping Cleveland pull away late. The Cavs have now won seven straight against Milwaukee, while the Bucks dropped their third in four games.
In New Orleans, the Thunder cruised past the Pelicans 126–109 behind a balanced attack, while the Timberwolves dismantled the Mavericks 120–96 in Minneapolis. Toronto edged Charlotte 110–108, holding off a late Hornets rally, and Miami clipped the Knicks 115–113 in a back-and-forth battle that came down to the final possession.
The night’s biggest surprise came in Denver, where the Bulls stunned the Nuggets 130–127 despite entering with just a 14% win probability. Chicago’s offense clicked from the jump, outpacing a late Denver push to seal the upset. With Wemby out for a few weeks, the injury bug continues to make its way around the league, which is giving opportunities to budding stars and veterans alike. Luke Kornet, for example, will likely see usage in fantasy basketball leagues and possibly Fast Break.
NBA Fast Break Recap: Day 1
It was a good start for 88% of the Fast Break population and multiple players contributed in positive ways. Multiple players came through with a high point tally within the paint as well as offensive rebounds. For example, Ivica Zubac was the most utilized player and he delivered 14 points in the paint and 5 offensive rebounds. There were multiple players like this, so take your pick for Fast Break Stud of the Day based on who delivered the best outcome for you. If, however, you had Giannis in your lineup, his early exit due to injury meant he was the default Dud of the Day.
Today’s Fast Break Objective(s): Day 2 of 13
Objective(s): 40 Assists (8.0 AST)
You’ll need five (5) players who will accumulate 40 or more assists, which means each player will need to average 8.0 AST. Your options are very limited as the number of assists per player are higher than what we’ve seen as of late. It also means your captain will be vital to crossing the threshold as it will generate a buffer for your lower end players.
Top Player Options:
Distributors: Cade Cunningham, Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves, Devin Booker, Isaiah Collier, De'Aaron Fox, Keyonte George

Upcoming Fast Break Objectives:
Objectives remaining (after today):
2x: 3PM, 3PA, REB, PTS, BLK
1x: STL, FGM, FGA, PITP, OREB, AST-TO, AST
Tomorrow’s Objective(s): 15 Three Pointers Made & 25 Three Point Attempts (3.0 3PM & 5.0 3PA)

Houston, LA Lakers, & Washington have the fewest remaining games (5)
Seven (7) teams have the most remaining games (7)
The always challenging AST-TO objective lands on Day 10
Day 4 & 9 have less than 10 teams in action, which means least flexibility
Day 8 & 11 have more than 20 teams in action, which means most flexibility
There are no games scheduled on November 27th
There is one less day this run (13) than in the previous (14), but the run-based thresholds are the same (4, 7, & 11)
Statistical Approach:
Top players in assists according to Rotowire & NBA.com, which is available in the table(s) below. Overall rank is based on daily projections, last 10 average, and season averages, which is stack ranked amongst peers for each objective. When there is a single objective, the three data points are still used to stack rank the players vs. ranking solely on projections. For tome+ members, all active player stats are available in the provided data file. Omission of certain players would be based on injuries at the time of data pull.

Witty’s Fast Break Challenge:
In NBA Fast Break, how often you can use a player depends on the value of their moments—measured by average sale price. That system can put newer and/or smaller collectors at a disadvantage, limiting their ability to compete. This segment is designed to level the playing field, giving resourceful collectors a shot at rewards and proving that smart strategy can still win, even without a stacked collection.
