NBA Fast Break Classic | Run 3 | Day 1

Durant Clutches OT Win, Celtics Hold Off Clippers, Jazz Edge Bulls in 2OT

NBA Recap: November 16, 2025

Sunday’s NBA slate delivered drama from tip to buzzer including three games that required extra time. Kevin Durant scored 35 points, including a dagger jumper in overtime, to lift the Rockets past the Magic 117–113. Alperen Şengün added 30 points and 12 rebounds, while Franz Wagner led Orlando with 29 points in a game that saw multiple lead changes and clutch plays. Durant’s late-game poise sealed Houston’s fourth straight win.

In Boston, the Celtics held off the Clippers 121–118, surviving a fourth-quarter surge behind balanced scoring and timely defense. The Jazz edged the Bulls 150–147 in double overtime, capping the highest-scoring game of the season. Brooklyn snapped its skid with a 129–106 win over fellow cellar dweller Washington (three total wins between the two), while the Warriors blitzed the Pelicans 124–106, fueled by a 44-point first quarter.

The Spurs handled the Kings 123–110, and the Mavericks outlasted the Trail Blazers 138–133 in overtime for their fourth win of the season. In Phoenix, the Hawks stunned the Suns 124–122, rallying late to steal a road win and end Phoenix’s five-game streak. Injuries are already a factor early in the season and bench depth is proving key for success, which will likely be a major storyline for the remainder of the season.

Today’s Fast Break Objective(s): Day 1 of 13

Objective(s): 50 Points in the Paint & 12 Offensive Rebounds (10.0 PITP & 2.4 OREB)

You’ll need five (5) players who will score 50 or more points in the paint and accumulate 12 or more offensive rebounds, which means each player will need to average 10.0 PITP & 2.4 OREB. This is Day 1 of the new run, so your player options are wide open. Note there is one less day this run and there is a wide disparity of games scheduled, so plan accordingly.

  • Day 8 & 11 have more than 20 teams in action, which means most flexibility

  • There are no games scheduled on November 27th

  • There is one less day this run (13) than in the previous (14), but the run-based thresholds are the same (4, 7, & 11)

When there is a single objective, the three data points are still used to stack rank the players vs. ranking solely on projections. For tome+ members, all active player stats are available in the provided data file. Omission of certain players would be based on injuries at the time of data pull.

Witty’s Fast Break Challenge:

In NBA Fast Break, how often you can use a player depends on the value of their moments—measured by average sale price. That system can put newer and/or smaller collectors at a disadvantage, limiting their ability to compete. This segment is designed to level the playing field, giving resourceful collectors a shot at rewards and proving that smart strategy can still win, even without a stacked collection.
