NBA Fast Break Classic | Run 10 | Day 9
Fast Break Recap: Day 8
It was raining three pointers for most Classic lineups as 80% walked away happy. Much of that was attributed to Grayson Allen, who saw the second highest utilization. His 6 of 11 shooting from outside led the way for many, so he earned the Fast Break Stud of the Day award.
Klay Thompson, on the other hand, shot a measly 2 of 3 from outside, which was the lowest output of the top five most utilized players. Naturally, his performance earned him the Fast Break Dud of the Day award.
Today’s Fast Break Objective(s): Day 9 of 13
Objective(s): 35 Points in the Paint & 8 Offensive Rebounds (7.0 PITP & 1.6 OREB)
Today you’ll need five (5) players who will score 35 or more points in the paint while grabbing 8 or more offensive rebounds, which means each player will need to average 7.0 PITP & 1.6 OREB. These two objectives are achieved on the same direction of the court and there are a number of players who thrive in both categories, but a single player or two can derail your progress if they don’t contribute at least a good chunk of their fair share.
Upcoming Fast Break Objectives:
Tomorrow’s Objective(s): 35 Assists (7.0 AST)
Objective(s) Remaining (after today):
Considerations:
Thirteen (13) teams have the most games remaining (3)
Atlanta, Indiana, & Phoenix have the least games remaining (1)
No team are playing the tail-end of a back-to-back tomorrow
Day 9 (today), 10 (tomorrow), & 12 will have the least lineup flexibility as they each have ten (10) or less teams in action
Day 11 & 13 will have the most lineup flexibility as they have twenty (20) or more teams in action
Only single or correlated objectives for the rest of this run
The dreaded AST-TO does not make a return for this run
Statistical Approach:
Top players in points in the paint & offensive rebounds according to Rotowire & NBA.com, which is available in the table(s) below. Overall rank is based on daily projections, last 10 average, and season averages, which is stack ranked amongst peers for each objective. When there is a single objective, the three data points are still used to stack rank the players vs. ranking solely on projections. For tome+ members, all active player stats are available in the provided data file. Omission of certain players would be based on injuries at the time of data pull.
