NBA Fast Break Classic | Run 10 | Day 8

Detroit Drop Thunder, Spurs Steal One Late, Bucks Survive

NBA Recap: February 25, 2026

Thunder 116, Pistons 124

Detroit delivered a statement win to maintain their grip on the East’s top seed. The Pistons controlled the pace, punished OKC inside, and never let the Thunder — still without their MVP — build any meaningful momentum. Detroit’s balance and physicality defined the night, and the fourth quarter felt like a victory lap.

Spurs 110, Raptors 107

Toronto led by 12 entering the fourth, but a three‑minute scoring drought cracked the door open. San Antonio sprinted through it with a 10–0 run, flipping the game’s energy and putting pressure on a Raptors team that mustered only 17 fourth‑quarter points. The Spurs closed with poise and stole a road win that looked unlikely for most of the night.

Warriors 133, Grizzlies 112

Golden State remains without Stephen Curry, but depth carried the day. Eight Warriors scored in double figures, overwhelming a Memphis team still searching for rhythm. The Warriors pushed the pace, shared the ball, and turned the second half into a runaway.

Kings 97, Rockets 128

Houston detonated early, racing to a 77–50 halftime lead and never looking back. The Kings — battered by injuries — couldn’t keep up with the Rockets’ tempo or shotmaking. By the fourth quarter, the only question left was the final margin.

Cavaliers 116, Bucks 118

The tightest game of the night featured constant ties and lead changes. Dennis Schröder tied it late, but Kevin Porter Jr.’s fadeaway with 20 seconds left became the game‑winner. Schröder’s floater with seven seconds and Jarrett Allen’s put‑back at the buzzer came just a fraction too late. Milwaukee held on at home despite missing Giannis.

Celtics 84, Nuggets 103

Boston posted the lowest scoring output of the night, shooting just 34% from the field and managing only 36 second‑half points. Denver didn’t need much beyond Nikola Jokić’s 30, and the Nuggets cruised behind disciplined defense and steady half‑court execution.

Fast Break Recap: Day 7

Two of three iterations of Fast Break rode the struggle bus as Classic and Pro neither had a high win rate - the former with 16% and the latter with 13%. Historic had the best night as 73% walked away victorious. Kevin Porter had the highest utilization, but he struggled in the assist column, but crushed it with steals as he accumulated five. Joker, who is normally very reliable with assists, also struggled as he only had six assists. Cade had the best night as he contributed 13 assists, which earned him the Fast Break Stud of the Day award.
