NBA Fast Break Classic | Run 10 | Day 5
Thunder Roll, Lakers Sputter, Warriors Steal One
NBA Recap: February 22, 2026
Cavaliers 113, Thunder 121
Oklahoma City is still without the reigning MVP, but depth carried the night. Seven Thunder players scored in double figures, building a massive early lead that Cleveland spent the rest of the game trying to chip away. James Harden, Donovan Mitchell, and Sam Merrill all hit 20 for the Cavs, but the first‑quarter deficit never fully evaporated.
Nets 104, Hawks 115
A tight matchup broke open late as Atlanta controlled the fourth quarter. Jalen Johnson and Onyeka Okongwu both posted double‑doubles, giving the Hawks the interior edge they needed to pull away. Brooklyn hung around for three quarters, but Atlanta’s late‑game execution sealed it.
Raptors 122, Bucks 94
Milwaukee played without Giannis, and Toronto took full advantage. After trailing by five in the first, the Raptors flipped the game with a 14‑point second quarter and a 10‑point third, putting it out of reach before the fourth even began. Toronto’s balance and pace overwhelmed a Bucks team missing its anchor.
Nuggets 117, Warriors 128
Nikola Jokić delivered a monstrous 35‑20‑12 triple‑double, but Denver squandered a lead entering the fourth. Golden State erupted for a 33–16 final frame, flipping the game with pace, ball movement, and timely shooting. Denver had seven players in double figures, but the Warriors’ closing burst was the difference.
Mavericks 134, Pacers 130
Pascal Siakam’s 30 kept Indiana in it, but Dallas — playing without Cooper Flagg — found answers everywhere else. Khris Middleton led the Mavericks, and Dallas held off a late Pacers push to secure their 16th win. Indiana’s offense kept humming, but the defensive stops never came.
Hornets 129, Wizards 112
Charlotte’s young trio detonated. LaMelo Ball, Kon Knueppel, and Brandon Miller combined for 87 points, overwhelming a Wizards team that didn’t have a single player top 17. The Hornets controlled the game wire‑to‑wire, leaning on pace, spacing, and shotmaking.
Celtics 111, Lakers 89
Even with Luka Dončić, LeBron James, and Austin Reaves available, the Lakers posted the second‑lowest scoring output of the 22 teams in action. Boston led by 10 at halftime and never let go. Jaylen Brown (32) and Payton Pritchard (30) powered the Celtics, who smothered LA in the second half and cruised to a comfortable win.
76ers 135, Timberwolves 108
Philadelphia dropped the highest point total of the night, fueled by Tyrese Maxey’s 39 on 57% shooting. Rookie‑of‑the‑year candidate VJ Edgecombe added 24, giving the Sixers a dynamic one‑two punch. Anthony Edwards matched Maxey’s efficiency with 28, but Minnesota couldn’t keep pace with Philly’s offensive avalanche.
Knicks 105, Bulls 99
Chicago pushed New York deeper into the fourth than expected, but Mikal Bridges buried a dagger three in the final minute to put it away. The Knicks controlled most of the night, but the Bulls’ late surge forced New York to execute under pressure — and they did.
Trail Blazers 92, Suns 77
Phoenix, without Devin Booker, posted the lowest scoring total of the day and failed to reach 20 points in any quarter. Only two Suns reached double figures, and the offense never found traction. Portland didn’t need fireworks — steady defense and timely buckets were enough to close out a sluggish, low‑scoring win.
Magic 111, Clippers 109
One of the night’s best back‑and‑forth battles ended with Orlando making every clutch play. Desmond Bane hit big shots inside three minutes, and Paolo Banchero’s dunk with 40 seconds left sealed it at the Intuit Dome. The Clippers had chances late, but Orlando’s composure carried them home.
Fast Break Recap: Day 4
It was a successful day for all three iterations of Fast Break (relatively speaking). 94% of Classic participants earned a win compared to 51% in Pro and 56% in Historic.
Anthony Edwards sank 11 of 19 from the field, which was the best of the five most utilized players. His performance had less total attempts than Jaylen Brown, but more makes gives him the edge for Fast Break Stud of the Day. Jalen Brunson’s 7 of 19 was the worst of the top five, so he earned the Fast Break Dud of the Day.
Today’s Fast Break Objective(s): Day 5 of 13
Objective(s): 40 Rebounds (8.0 REB)
Today you’ll need five (5) players who will gather 40.0 rebounds, which means each player will need to average 8.0 REB. Days like this can be tricky as one or two players can derail your win probability, but a high rebound day by your captain can carry the day.
Top Player Options:
Glass Crashers: Victor Wembanyama, Jalen Duren, Jusuf Nurkic
Upcoming Fast Break Objectives:
Tomorrow’s Objective(s): 130 Points Scored (26.0 PTS)

Day 5 (today), 9, 10, & 12 will have the least lineup flexibility as they each have ten (10) or less teams in action
Day 6 (tomorrow), 11, & 13 will have the most lineup flexibility as they have twenty (20) or more teams in action
Only two (2) days remaining in classic that have two non-correlated objectives
The dreaded AST-TO does not make a return for this run
