Celtics Erase Deficit, Detroit Smothers Knicks, Pelicans Shock Wolves

NBA Recap: February 6, 2026

Heat 96, Celtics 98

Boston spent the first half getting punched in the mouth and the second half calmly erasing the evidence. Down double digits at the break, the Celtics tightened the screws defensively and rode a three‑headed scoring engine — Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, and Payton Pritchard, all with 20+ — to flip the game. White’s dagger three with about 90 seconds left put Boston ahead for good, sealing a comeback that felt inevitable once the Garden woke up.

Knicks 80, Pistons 118

Detroit didn’t just get back on track — they bulldozed the Knicks from the opening tip. The Pistons won every quarter, smothered New York’s offense, and held Jalen Brunson to 12 points on 20% shooting. No Detroit player cracked 18, but the balance was the point: five‑man pressure, five‑man scoring, and a wire‑to‑wire domination that snapped New York’s rhythm in emphatic fashion.

Pacers 99, Bucks 105

Indiana made this one far more dramatic than Milwaukee preferred. The Pacers erased a double‑digit deficit in the fourth, but the Bucks — playing without Giannis — steadied themselves just enough in the final minutes. It wasn’t pretty, but it was a win built on composure, half‑court execution, and timely stops.

Pelicans 119, Timberwolves 115

The Pelicans walked into halftime down double digits and walked out with one of their grittiest wins of the season. Zion Williamson, Saddiq Bey, and Trey Murphy each dropped 26+ as New Orleans stormed back and stole a road win from a Wolves team that looked in control early. Anthony Edwards poured in 35 and Rudy Gobert logged another double‑double, but Minnesota’s second‑half collapse overshadowed the stat lines.

Grizzlies 115, Trail Blazers 135

Portland hit cruise control and never took their foot off the gas. The Blazers posted the highest point total of the night — 135 — and turned the game into a scoring showcase where 16 different players across both teams reached double figures. Memphis kept up for stretches, but Portland’s pace and shotmaking made this feel like a track meet they were never losing.

Clippers 114, Kings 111

One of the tightest games of the night came down to the final possessions. Kawhi Leonard led the Clippers with 31, and every L.A. starter hit double digits in a balanced, playoff‑style grind. Sacramento’s bench nearly stole the show — Cardwell’s double‑double and three other bench players in double figures kept the Kings alive — but the Clippers executed late and escaped with a three‑point win.

Fast Break Recap: Day 4

Classic had the lowest win rate out of the three iterations as only 30% earned a win. Zion Williamson was the most heavily utilized and he contributed in both categories. Pro saw 54% earn a win compared to Historic, which had 72% of participants walking away victorious.
