NBA Fast Break Classic | Run 8 | Day 4
Detroit Drops 139, Spurs Falter, Raptors Steal One Late
NBA Recap: January 25, 2026
Detroit opened with the loudest result of the night, hammering Sacramento 139–116 in a game that turned into a track meet the Kings couldn’t keep up with. The Pistons pushed pace, shot the lights out, and controlled every major run. Sacramento made small dents, but Detroit’s offense never cooled.
Golden State followed with a 111–85 win over Minnesota, where three of the four quarters were relatively close. A 21-point differential in the third quarter was the difference as Minnesota failed to find their rhythm.
Toronto delivered the night’s tightest finish, edging Oklahoma City 103–101 in a possession‑by‑possession grinder. Scottie Barnes was the hero for the Raptors as he sank a game-winner to give the Thunder their tenth loss on the season where they have not been able to replicate their early season dominance.
New Orleans handled San Antonio 104–95, a composed road performance where the Pelicans controlled the middle quarters and never let the Spurs dictate tempo. Wemby’s 16 point, 16 rebound, 4 block day wasn’t enough to lead the Spurs to a win at home.
Miami kept its rhythm with a 111–102 win over Phoenix, a game defined by balance and shot‑making. The Heat controlled pace, hit timely threes, and kept the Suns from ever finding a defensive foothold. Miami’s late‑game composure sealed it.
The Clippers closed the slate with a 126–89 dismantling of Brooklyn — one of the night’s clearest blowouts. L.A. dominated the glass, pushed the Nets off their spots, and turned the second half into a showcase. Brooklyn never found rhythm, and the Clippers kept piling on.
The Denver-Memphis and Dallas-Milwaukee games were postponed due to inclement weather.
Fast Break Recap: Day 3
Day 3 saw an inversion of result as Pro mode had the highest win rate of 57% followed by 46% in Historic and 27% in Classic.
Cade Cunningham led the way, but was questionable throughout the day. If you took the chance and had him as your Captain, he covered a large portion of what you needed to win the day. With his performance, he earned the Fast Break Stud of the Day.
