Fast Break Recap: Day 12
Classic managers had a low success rate at 22% winners, Historic collectors came in at 65%, and Pro checked in at 3%.
Yesterday's classic objective was 60 points in the paint and 12 offensive rebounds — a dual-category interior threshold that punished lineups anchored to the one player who didn't suit up, and rewarded those built around Houston's interior attack.
Four of the five most-rostered players were in action, with one notable absence. Domantas Sabonis (24% utilization) did not play in Sacramento's 124-118 win over Golden State, leaving the fourth-most-rostered slot empty on a night when every offensive rebound mattered. Among those who did play, Alperen Sengun (35%) was the standout — 20 points in the paint and 3 offensive rebounds in Houston's 132-136 loss to Minnesota, a dominant interior performance in a losing effort that gave his slot real weight toward both thresholds. Amen Thompson (53%) added 12 points in the paint and 3 offensive rebounds in that same Houston game — sharing the game environment with Sengun, meaning collectors who rostered both drew from the same interior attack rather than diversifying across multiple games. LeBron James (22%) contributed 10 points in the paint and 2 offensive rebounds in the Lakers' 101-73 blowout win over Phoenix — clean interior production in a comfortable environment, though modest on the glass. Karl-Anthony Towns (48%) rounded out the active four with 8 points in the paint and 2 offensive rebounds in New York's 112-95 win over Toronto — the lightest interior line of the active group in a game that didn't demand paint volume from him.
Fast Break Stud of the Day: Alperen Sengun — 20 points in the paint and 3 offensive rebounds in a losing Houston game. The dominant interior line of the night among any of the five active players, and the single biggest individual contribution toward both categories despite his team coming up short.
Fast Break Dud of the Day: Domantas Sabonis — did not play at 24% utilization. The fourth-most-rostered player on the board sat out Sacramento's win, leaving a slot empty on a night where the objective required every interior piece to perform.
