Fast Break Recap: Day 9
Classic managers cashed at an 88% rate, Pro checked in with a 41% win rate, and Historic collectors came in at an unusually low 28%.
Yesterday's classic objective was 120 points and 10 three-pointers made across five players — roughly 24 points and 2 threes per player to carry their weight.
It was a high-scoring night up and down the slate. Jamal Murray (44% utilization) put on a performance for the ages, torching Dallas for 53 points on 19 of 28 from the field — including 9 of 14 from three — in Denver's 142-135 win. That single line covered 44.2% of the points threshold and 90% of the threes threshold on its own. Luka Doncic (38%) was equally electric in a different game, pouring in 43 points on 15 of 30 shooting with 4 triples as the Lakers held off Indiana 137-130. Austin Reaves (33%) shared that same matchup, chipping in 25 points and 2 threes in the win. Jaylen Brown (58%) contributed 31 points in Boston's 119-109 victory over Oklahoma City but connected on just 1 of 3 from deep — a strong scoring night with minimal help on the threes side. Donovan Mitchell (68%), the most-rostered player on the board, dropped 28 points and went 4 of 9 from three in Cleveland's 103-120 loss to Miami.
Fast Break Stud of the Day: Jamal Murray — 53 points and 9 three-pointers made in a Denver win. A performance that covered 44.2% of the points threshold alone and 90.0% of the three pointers objective.
Fast Break Dud of the Day: Jaylen Brown — 31 points…but just 1 of 3 from three at 58% utilization. The second-most-rostered player on the board was a strong scorer but left the threes almost entirely to others, and collectors who built around him needed other selections to pick up the slack on that side of the objective.
