Run 12 | Day 5
Fast Break Recap: Day 4
Classic managers had their best night of the run at 85%, while Historic saw a lower than usual win rate of 53%. Pro was the most difficult (which is common) — just 32% walked away with a win.
Yesterday's Classic objective was 50 points in the paint and 10 offensive rebounds across five players — roughly 10 PITP and 2 OREB per player to carry their weight.
The paint was kind, and the offensive boards were right there for the taking. Jalen Duren (45% utilization) led the group on the scoring side with 16 points in the paint on 66.7% shooting in Detroit's convincing 115-101 win over Golden State — an efficient, dominant performance in the post. Alperen Sengun (70%) and Rudy Gobert (47%) each added 14 PITP, though their paths looked different: Sengun did his damage in Houston's blowout 117-95 win over Atlanta, while Gobert had to settle for a losing effort as Minnesota fell 104-108 to Portland. Amen Thompson (48%) contributed 10 PIP in that same Houston blowout — both Rockets bigs feasting in a matchup that Atlanta had no answer for. Scottie Barnes (30%) chipped in 8 PIP in Toronto's narrow 115-121 loss to Denver, the only player in the group who fell below the per-player threshold on the paint side.
The offensive rebounds were the make-or-break stat, and Gobert's 6 were the anchor. With Sengun (3), Thompson (3), Duren (2), and Barnes (1) filling in around him, the group had more than enough to clear 10. Classic collectors who stacked this interior-heavy board had little to worry about by halftime; especially if Rudy was your captain.
Fast Break Stud of the Day: Jalen Duren — 16 points in the paint and 2 offensive rebounds in a Detroit win. He led the group with his paint production while DET pulled away comfortably.
Fast Break Dud of the Day: Scottie Barnes — 8 PITP and 1 OREB at 30% utilization. The least-utilized player in the group was also the least productive, falling short on both metrics and offering little margin for the collectors who rostered him.
