Run 12 | Day 4

Fast Break Recap: Day 3

Historic managers were virtually untouchable at 98%, and Classic collectors had a strong showing at 74% — one of the better Classic nights of the run. Pro remained a wasteland at 13%, continuing a brutal stretch for that tier.

Day 3's objective was all about volume from deep: 15 three-pointers made and 25 three-point attempts across eligible players — a pure shooting night where arc production was everything.

The arc delivered in historic fashion, largely because of two names collectors underweighted. Luka Doncic (39% utilization) dropped 60 points on the Miami Heat — tied for the second-highest single-game total of his career — going 9-of-17 from three in the Lakers' 134-126 win. He got 39 of his 60 after halftime, finishing 18-of-30 from the field and 15-of-19 from the line in a performance that single-handedly carried the made threshold for most lineups that had him. Jalen Green (48%) matched the moment in his own way, nailing eight three-pointers in Phoenix's loss to San Antonio — a scorched-earth shooting night that came on the wrong side of the scoreboard but was a massive fantasy production regardless. Between the two of them, the three-point objectives were essentially locked up before the fourth quarter of most games. LaMelo Ball (82%) — the most-rostered option by a wide margin — contributed 3-of-8 from three for 20 points in Charlotte's 130-111 win over Orlando, but logged just 20 minutes. A solid line, though collectors who leaned entirely on him to carry the three-point load were left leaning on others. Trey Murphy III (70%) totaled 27 points and at least two threes in a clutch closing run as New Orleans held off the Clippers 105-99 — his shot-making keying the decisive 9-0 stretch late. Donovan Mitchell (35%) rounded out the slate against Chicago, the lowest-utilized name in the pool with the fewest collectors depending on his output.

The lesson of the night was utilization inversion — the two players who moved the needle most on a three-point objective were the two fewest collectors rostered below 50%. Collectors with the conviction to use Luka or Green were well-rewarded.

Fast Break Stud of the Day: Luka Doncic — 9-of-17 from three, 60 points in a Lakers win at just 39% utilization. One of the great individual performances of the NBA season, delivered on a night where the arc mattered most.

Fast Break Dud of the Day: LaMelo Ball — 3-of-8 from three in 20 minutes at 82% utilization. Rostered by nearly everyone, he contributed but didn't dominate the objective the way collectors needed from the most-used player in the pool.
