Fast Break Results: March 9, 2026
Classic managers had a strong night as 81% earned a win. Historic collectors were right in the mix at 61%, and Pro came in at 58% — a relatively balanced evening across all three modes compared to the wild swings of recent days.
Yesterday's objective was 35 assists across five players — roughly 7 assists per player to carry their weight.
The playmaking delivered in a big way. James Harden (92% utilization) chipped in 5 assists as Cleveland cruised past Philadelphia 115-101, a modest but serviceable contribution from the most-rostered player on the board. Jalen Brunson (58%) posted 8 assists in New York's 118-126 loss to the Clippers, doing his part despite the defeat. Darius Garland (49%) added 7 assists on the other side of that same game. The real story, though, came out of Oklahoma City. Nikola Jokic (54%) put together a full triple-double with 13 assists, 32 points, and 14 rebounds in Denver's narrow 126-129 loss. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (44%) was simply otherworldly — 15 assists to go with 35 points in the Thunder's win, a performance that single-handedly carried any lineup fortunate enough to have him.

Fast Break Dud of the Day: James Harden — 5 assists at 92% utilization. The most-rostered player on the board was the weakest link in the assists column, falling well short of the 7-per-player average the objective called for.
