WNBA Fast Break Classic | Run 9 | Day 4

Today’s Objective(s): 25 Rebounds & 4 Blocks

Overview:

With the completion of Day 3, we are a third of the way through WNBA Fast Break Run 9. Keep in mind there is only one more regular season run remaining, so we are in the later stages of this exciting season, which will likely see a more competitive postseason than expected. Minnesota remains the frontrunner, but Las Vegas is going to be dangerous. New York has Breanna Stewart back and Caitlin Clark will return soon, too. Also, don’t count out Phoenix and Atlanta and what they can do in the postseason. Even Seattle could turn the corner and be spicy. It also means there will be plenty of viable players in the postseason for Fast Break, so don’t offload your collection just yet.

If you have historical players in your collection, be sure to set your lineups before the 15 games begin. Don’t know who to start? Be sure to check today’s historic Fast Break run article.

WNBA Score(s): August 27th

Aces Extend Win Streak to 12 Behind Wilson’s Dominance (LVA 91, ATL 85)

A’ja Wilson delivered another MVP-caliber performance, pouring in 34 points and grabbing 10 rebounds to lead the Aces past the Dream for their 12th straight win. Jackie Young recorded her second triple-double of the season with 10 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists, while Chelsea Gray added 14 points and 5 assists. Las Vegas shot 47.8% from the field and committed just seven turnovers, showcasing elite efficiency and composure. Atlanta got 19 points from Brionna Jones and 15 rebounds from Naz Hillmon, but struggled from deep (16.7% 3PT) and couldn’t contain Wilson’s late-game scoring burst.

Sun Outpace Wings in Offensive Showcase (CON 101, DAL 95)

Connecticut picked up its 10th win of the season with a road victory over Dallas, riding a balanced offensive attack and fourth-quarter poise. The Sun shot over 50% from the field and outscored the Wings in every quarter except the third. Dallas, now 9–30 and the first team to reach 30 losses, kept it close behind strong scoring from their backcourt but couldn’t overcome defensive lapses. The win marked a rare road highlight for Connecticut, who continue to build momentum late in the season even though they’ve been eliminated from the postseason.

Recap: Day 3

Day 3 turned out to be a challenging one as only 31% earned a win. For Fast Breakers who were relying on Paige Bueckers were left scrambling as she was a late scratch and this was the final game of the day.

Allisha Gray stands out as she was utilized in 58% of lineups, yet only produced two assists with no steals. Due to her lackluster performance, she earned the Fast Break Dud of the Day. Alternatively, Rhyne Howard had the most all-around day as she contributed 7 assists and 2 steals to earn the Fast Break Star of the Day.
