WNBA Fast Break Classic | Run 6 | Day 10
Today’s Objective(s): 60 Points Scored
Overview:
We are down to our final day of WNBA Fast Break Run 6, which has been up and down in stretches. The first four days saw 70%+ win rates, the next three days saw less than 30% win rate, then it see-sawed back above 60%, and then back below 40% yesterday. Of the nine perfect records through Day 8, only three remain and look to earn the coveted perfect pack. Good luck to Pestofolous, vegan_hoops, & DodgyTeddy.
WNBA Score(s):
Fever Rally Past Mercury in Franchise Scoring Showcase (IND 107, PHO 101)
Indiana flipped the script at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, storming back from a 10-point first-quarter deficit to outlast Phoenix in a high-octane 107–101 win. Aari McDonald erupted for a career-high 27 points, while Aliyah Boston anchored the fourth-quarter surge with 22 points and 11 rebounds, including 14 points in the final frame. The Fever’s 107 points marked the third-highest total in franchise history, and their second-quarter 35-point burst tied for fourth-most in a single quarter. Phoenix’s early momentum faded as Indiana’s bench and rebounding edge took control.
Dream Stun Wings on Hillmon’s Heroics (DAL 88, ATL 85)
Naz Hillmon delivered the dagger in Dallas, draining a go-ahead three-pointer with 2.6 seconds left to lift Atlanta past the Wings 88–85. Hillmon scored 12 of her career-high 21 points in the fourth quarter, showcasing poise and timing in crunch time. The Wings, led by Paige Bueckers’ steady play, couldn’t convert late possessions as the Dream’s perimeter defense tightened. Atlanta’s win adds weight to their playoff push—and gives Hillmon a signature moment to build on.
Lynx Hold Off Liberty in Finals Rematch Thriller (MIN 100, NYL 93)
Minnesota defended home court in a tightly contested battle, edging New York 100–93 behind Napheesa Collier’s 30 points and 9 rebounds and Kayla McBride’s 24-point effort. The Liberty, missing Breanna Stewart due to a knee injury, leaned on Sabrina Ionescu’s playmaking to stay close, but couldn’t overcome the Lynx’s late-game execution. Minnesota’s defensive rotations and clutch shooting sealed the win, reinforcing their status as a top-tier contender.
Fast Break Recap: Day 9
Day 9 required steals & blocks. Although only four of each were needed, there aren’t many players who are consistent contributors in both categories. Of the top five players utilized yesterday, only Alanna Smith delivered more than two of either stat as she accumulated three blocks, which covered 75% of that objective. With her performance, she earned the Fast Break Star of the Day.
Of the remaining players, both Mack & Griner contributed a single stat - Mack had a steal & Griner had a block. The former was relied upon by 44% of collectors whereas the latter was included in 31% of lineups. Although neither put up double goose eggs, neither exceled. With their less than stellar performance, they are your Fast Break co-Duds of the Day.
Today’s Matchups:
Golden State Valkyries (12-13) vs Washington Mystics (13-13)
Tonight’s lone WNBA showdown features the Golden State Valkyries visiting the Washington Mystics at CareFirst Arena. With both teams hovering near the playoff bubble, this matchup carries weight beyond the standings. The Mystics enter as the thematic favorite, backed by ESPN’s pregame analysis and a slight edge in recent form. Washington’s home-court advantage and steadier rotation give them a projected upper hand, especially with Sonia Citron coming off a 28-point performance against Chicago.
Keep an eye on Citron’s shot creation and Shakira Austin’s interior presence for Washington, while Golden State counters with Carla Leite’s perimeter scoring and Temi Fágbénlé’s rebounding grit. The Valkyries are still adjusting after Kayla Thornton’s injury, which has tested their depth. Expect a possession-driven contest with playoff urgency baked into every quarter—though Washington’s cohesion and momentum suggest they’ll hold serve at home.

Today’s Objective(s): Day 10
You’ll need five (5) players who will score 60.0 or more points, which means each player will need to average 12.0 PTS.
There is a single objective with a relatively low threshold, but there are only two teams in action so your room for error is slim at best. If you don’t have multiple double-digit scorers (ideally all five), then today may not end the way you’d prefer. As you would expect, the values of players with few moments have risen noticeably.
Top Player Options:
Point Scorers: Brittney Sykes, Shakira Austin, Sonia Citron, Tiffany Hayes
Top Five (5) Players in Pro Lineups: T. Hayes (75%) | B. Sykes (53%) | S. Austin (44%) | T. Fagbenle (43%) | M. Billings (32%)

It's essential to consider the opponents, recent performance, and any injury updates before finalizing your Fast Break lineup. Additionally, staying up to date on the latest news and adjusting your roster accordingly will enhance your chances of earning a win today.
WNBA Key Dates:
September 11: Regular Season Ends
September 14-October 17: WNBA Playoffs
Power Rankings (Week 9):
There are 44 games in a WNBA Season, so teams have anywhere between 17-20 games remaining. This means there are plenty of opportunities to make a run and rise in the rankings. Over the past week, the Sparks have gone 3-0 and 7-3 in their last 10 as they are making a push for one of the coveted playoff spots. Between 4th & 10th, there are only 4 games separating the bunch so every game will matter, but especially the head-to-heads. Chicago, Dallas, & Connecticut are the most likely to not make the cut, but they could have a stretch similar to what we’re seeing in L.A. They’re running out of time though.
