WNBA Fast Break Classic | Run 2 | Day 11
Today’s Objective(s): 20 Rebounds & 20 Points in the Paint
Recap & Overview:
Commissioner’s Cup Recap
The latest Commissioner’s Cup action delivered another night of blowouts, reinforcing the growing divide between top contenders and struggling teams.
Washington, widely expected to miss the playoffs, stunned Connecticut with a dominant 104-67 victory. Brittney Sykes put on a clinic with 28 points, while five other Mystics players reached double figures, showcasing their balanced scoring attack. Connecticut had contributions from Tina Charles, Marina Mabrey, and Jacy Sheldon, but their efforts weren’t enough to counter Washington’s offensive explosion.
Meanwhile, Minnesota remained undefeated, securing their ninth win of the season, but their matchup with Dallas was far from effortless. The Wings, considered the weakest team in the league, kept things tight through three quarters, trailing by just one point entering the fourth. However, Minnesota flexed their strength in the final frame, outscoring Dallas by 15 points to walk away with a comfortable win.
Fast Break Recap: Collier Leads the Way
The latest Fast Break challenge required rebounds and points in the paint, yielding a strong 89% win rate among participants. Napheesa Collier, a regular favorite in Fast Break lineups, proved invaluable once again. She contributed 10 rebounds and 10 assists, covering half of the required threshold in both categories, earning her the Fast Break Star of the Day.
None of the top-utilized players, including Charles, Mabrey, Austin, and Siegrist, turned in poor performances, meaning no one claimed the dubious honor of Fast Break Dud of the Day.
Commissioner’s Cup Matchups: Key Stakes Today
Tonight’s Commissioner’s Cup slate features a single game between Golden State and Los Angeles. With both teams sporting losing records, they’ll be eager to pick up their fourth win of the season. Neither is in contention for the Commissioner’s Cup, but every victory matters as they push toward the playoffs—or, failing that, position themselves in the draft lottery. The game tips off at 10:00 PM ET (2:00 AM UTC) for those looking to tune in.
As the competition intensifies, every matchup brings greater implications. Let’s dive into what’s ahead in the coming days.

As expected, we were unable to secure a win yesterday. Today feels dicey also, but we're already out of the run-based rewards top 250 and unlikely to return. At least we reached our 5-win target already.
